Anywhere you’d fill a normal bottle, and plenty of places you wouldn’t. Hotel taps, public fountains, streams, lakes. It’s built for natural freshwater sources like streams, lakes and rivers, not saltwater. Match your source to the filter’s intended use, and let it do the worrying.
The two-stage system targets bacteria, microplastics, sediment and cloudiness through the 0.01-micron hollow-fiber membrane, plus chlorine and bad tastes through the carbon stage. It’s tested by SGS and TÜV to remove 99.999999% of bacteria, an 8-log reduction.
No. Hollow-fiber membranes aren’t designed for viruses or dissolved metals. For everyday tap water and the great majority of travel destinations, those aren’t the threats anyway; bacteria and particulates are.
Each filter is rated for up to 4,000 liters, about 1,057 gallons, which is years of daily use for most people. It’s also backwashable, so a periodic rinse helps it last, and we’ll tell you when it’s time for a fresh one.
Never. No batteries, no UV bulb, no pump. Fill and drink.
It’s built for travel, but most owners use it most at home. Given what’s in ordinary tap and bottled water, that’s rather the point.
